My name is Caleb Smith and I am an action photographer and videographer currently attending Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, where I am working towards a Joint Honours degree in Film and Media, and Environmental Studies. Originally from Gabriola Island, British Columbia, I have been behind a camera since at least 2015, and have had a lifelong interest in all things behind the captured image.
My aviation photojournalism through Vector Aeromedia have amassed over 6 million views on Instagram, adorned the walls of squadrons continent-wide, won photography awards, and been featured in international publications. Chasing these shots has taken me from the shores of the experimental test ranges documenting VX-1 Poseidon's dropping torpedoes, to the shores of the Kennedy Space Center just miles from one of the worlds most powerful rockets, to the flight line at 19 Wing Comox with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and all the way up to six thousand feet in flight with F-15C Eagles of the US Air Force. I've also worked in commercial photography for local businesses, am a licensed drone operator, and most recently worked in broadcast - switching games for the Victoria HarbourCats collegiate baseball team for the Summer 2025 season.
